About Flynn Coleman
Flynn Coleman, the founder of SAMYA Practice, is a mindfulness and creativity consultant, a dedicated yogini, a Huffington Post writer, an accomplished athlete, and a happy attorney. Throughout her life, she has been fortunate to travel, study, work, volunteer, play soccer, and practice mindfulness, yoga, and meditation around the world. These experiences have taught her that the principles and practices of mindfulness offer individuals and communities a powerful means of attaining vitality, resilience, joy, creativity, productivity, and new ideas. Her experiences have convinced her that, because mindfulness can so powerfully effect transformation in one’s personal life, it can also effect powerful transformation in one’s professional life and, on a larger scale, in the lives of institutions, companies, teams, and other communities. These insights served as the inspiration for SAMYA Practice.
Flynn is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and the UC Berkeley School of Law. She was an associate at a major international law firm and a law clerk for a Chief federal judge. Flynn has also worked and volunteered in the field of international human rights law in various countries around the world. In addition, Flynn graduated from the 500 hour Advanced YogaWorks Teacher Training Program in New York City and has studied yoga, movement, and meditation for over a decade.
As the founder of SAMYA Practice, Flynn designs and implements customized mindfulness and creativity seminars for organizations and individuals seeking balance and transformation. SAMYA also gives back to local and global communities through its OM for OM initiative.
