Faith Muigai is currently Director of Clinical Operations at Jacaranda Health, responsible for upholding the mission of high-quality, patient centered care. Jacaranda Health is a maternal and newborn health network building private maternity clinics in resource-poor settings. Faith helps shape Jacaranda's overall strategic direction by evaluating proposed changes as they relate to patient care and our standards of nursing practice.
Faith professional background extends over 15 years in a variety of public and private healthcare settings. Her roles have included the provision of direct clinical care, clinical research, program development and executive leadership of healthcare systems. These roles were held in leading organizations such as the Johns Hopkins Hospital and University Specialty hospital, an affiliate of the University of Maryland Medical Systems, in the United States. Faith has designed and implemented local and regional healthcare projects, and participated in local and national health collaboratives that positively impact health care and healthcare services.
Since returning to Kenya, she has been working with Jacaranda Health, focused on strategic planning, architectural design, implementation and direct oversight of this innovative, scaleable health organisation. Through her leadership she has ensured accessible, affordable and skilled maternity healthcare to underserved women in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Curry College, Milton Massachusetts, USA and a Master’s Degree in Nursing and Administration from the Towson State University, Maryland USA.
